He also is knocking off some labor cost.
That being said. He said I really didn't need the cable. It seemed fine to him So we decided not to do the cable.
But I had already found the pieces online to fix it.
My steering gear broke on a 96 Sugar sand jet boat. I took it to a few places that would not work on it. I was referred to The boat doctor bye our relatives. Jesse looked at it and said he could most likely find something that would work. I told him to replace the helm, the cable and steering wheel. I took it to him Monday. Tuesday night he called with the price to fix. OUCH!!
So far I see an honest person who is going to grow as long as he continues with his good ethical practice.
Personally I like him and will refer him to people in need of work on their boat. His labor cost is a few dollars lower than everyone else.
Last year I called around to every boat repair shop/motor repair shop in the area, what happened was ,there was a little brass nipple for my gas line on one of my carbs on my 50 horse Johnson two stroke that had broke off In the midst of a different repair. I was doing myself, I messed up . Every place I called said they would not touch it since it was presssed in and I would have to find a used carb somewhere for a 1990 motor. I called around everywhere and could not find a used carb for my motor. I called the boat doctor, and they were more than willing to look at it and give me their opinion. I took the part to him and he immediately started working on it on the spot, he was able to find an extra brass nipple online and by the next day it was done. He went above and beyond and was willing to troubleshoot and take on a task that any other place in the area would not. It was a complete successful repair, the motor still runs to this day thanks to the boat doc and they're friendly attitude and the willingness to troubleshoot so I can have a great summer on the water. I would go back anytime and recommend them to anybody .

Honestly - I was a bit nervous after reading the "google" reviews but they were close to my work so I gave them a shot. Just finished my first experience and I am very pleased. Prices were reasonable and Kathy communicated very well throughout the process. I would recommend them to others.
