The cabins were great good camping experience the grounds are extremely clean and well-kept and the staff will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable
Had a good stay with our kids the week before labor day weekend. Will be returning next year!
We love this place! Stayed for the first time in June with the kids and are back again in August with friends! We will be back next summer with more friends too! Stayed the super loft cabin, a great alternative to our usual tent camping. Clean and comfortable, right on the lake. Couldn't be a more perfect setup! Great people here too, so friendly. I highly recommend this Campground. Thanks Blackhawk for a great weekend!
This was the loudest park I'd ever been to at night across the road from our spot was a permanent site who partied loudly with music until 3 AM in the morning and being a permanent spot you would think that they would know and respect the quiet rule after 11 PM I'm all for having a good time but I do have a small child and I would like to get some sleep cause she's an early riser. Unless you're in to night life I would not recommend this place. the pool is nice the food at the bar is nice but it is definitely not a quiet campground . Also this loud campsite was close to the office and I can only assume that since they are a permanent site and a rather nice permanent site that they were well aware that this place likes to party so I can't imagine why they put a family by then. Just disrespectful!
Disappointed that I can't seem to get a straight quote, as it looked like a fun place. Checked the website for 2 full-month rental rates. Given a national number to contact for that quote. Called the number and told I had to contact the local campground. Called and asked about renting for month of August and September. Was told it was $46 (or maybe $49) dollars a night. I replied that I thought they had a monthly rate? 216 a week. I would have thought she would mention that without my having to ask, as I asked about renting for two full months. Then I asked about extra people (she had told me, after I asked, what the maximum number was included in the price). "Ten dollars a person." No explanation of whether this was weekly, nightly, etc. I finally just gave up. It seemed as if she just wanted to get off the phone, so maybe they were busy.
